I wasn't planning on it, but the piece of fabric I had for the pants was so small I had to do each leg seperately! lol It did work well, and there would have been no way to get the stripes going down each leg without splitting the pants up the middle.

I'll have to foundation piece the next one! Yikes! LOL I'll have another look at the pattern, I think it would have to be split somewhere to actually work.

Edit: I'm actually not sure that foundation piecing would be any easier, you'd still have to seperate the sleeve units from the body and skirt/pants, which still leaves an inset seam. I haven't made my own foundation patterns before though, so might not be seeing it right.

Thanks Pam and Blue Chicken for designing the pattern and sharing. I'm looking forward to making some of these blocks. I make my hubby's Western shirts and I save all scraps. Those fabrics would be perfect for the blocks.....both boys and girls. I also have some lightweight denim that was leftover from a jumper I made myself. My MIL just gave me oodles and oodles of sewing goodies. There are several tiny buttons that would be perfect for embellishing the blocks.

Pam: What a darling block and it looks like your workmanship is pretty darn good, too. Thanks for sharing.

Sorry! I thought that you had foundation pieced yours. I don't want to decide for you what you would like to do a tutorial on.

I knew I could count on my quilting buddies to make me laugh today. Just came home from hospital - final fluff and tuck after mastectomy. All went well, but I've felt better! Now I'm getting better through laughter! Thanks gals!
