Your fabric choices are spot on. The effect of "bubbling out" is wonderful. Beautiful quilt.

After seeing your quilt, I ordered the pattern and got it Saturday. It's definitely on my list. THanks for sharing. Your quilt is BEAUTIFUL!!! Love the optical illusion.

What a beautiful quilt. I love it. Those splashes of color are perfect. Great job.

I really love this quilt and am thinking of making one similar to it as a wedding gift (the bride likes black and white and jewel tones!).

Can you tell me what size each block is? How wide are the strips cut? I know I'll have to order the pattern but it would help me estimate how much time and material is involved.

Thanks so much.

I would be very happy with this quilt. Just enough color to be stunning, and not boring in any way.

I Love it!!! Really cool!!!

I think the kit is just the pattern, the yardage, how many strips, etc. I would search the forum for Toadusa's website and info = it should give you details of what is in the kit.

I will start posting pictures tomorrow - I wanted to get the pieces cut first.

OK everyone - here are some pics of the work in progress. If this comes out as well as I think it will, I am going to enter it in the Connecticut Durham Fair in September. All 1100 pieces are cut and I have 25 blocks put together so I laid them out to see how the pattern was evolving. I even have the quilting pattern - I saw one from Karen Combs's book on Celtic Illusions that loooks like it might work for this quilt. My DD BETTER love it!!!!

:D

Looking good! Blue Ribbon written all over it! If DD doesn't like it, my Hubby and I sure do, will give it a good home! You are doing a fantastic job! Can't wait to see the whole thing done!
