This is for my grandson's 11th birthday. He requested a black and white quilt. I showed him this pattern by toadusew and he really liked it. He helped pick the rest of the colors. I'm very happy with the results and so is he.
This was a very fast pattern to stitch up though I've managed to drag it out for several weeks now. I don't sew for very long periods of time. A few minutes here and a few minutes there.
Anyway, it's another great pattern! Just thought I'd let you all know.

Wow! Love the way the graduated size black prints make "eye movement" in the squares. Almost a 3-D effect. GS will be loving this for years to come! And his "gram" as well. How old is he?

Sorry, went back and reread...he's 11. Same as my oldest GD. I haven't made her a quilt since she was crawling. Makes me feel guilty!!!!

Oh, I just love it. Don't tell him this but from a distance, parts of it resemble lace.
Was this a bought pattern or a found it free on the internet pattern?
Definitely would like to put it on my to-do list!

WOW - love it! Like so many others, where can I find the pattern? And do you rent out your grandson for fabric choices? He has a great sense of color.
