Here is a photo of a quilt I designed and made using an upside down applique method I learned on Quilting University. My granddaughters like the quilt but we are also going to use it as a banner when we set up a train display for kids. I painted fabric for the smoke and steam.

Cute! Very nice work -- the quilting lines make the sun pop!

What an awesome quilt! My son would have loved something like that when he was 3 years old! He was totally into the train things!

Thomas the Train looks great!
I like your quilting! |
Now THAT's an art quilt! I love it and I have a little great-nephew who would too! It should be a hit with all kids. Great job!

Really cute quilt! The quilting is awesome. Gives the quilt lots of dimension and texture. My little granddaughter loves Thomas the train. Did you design this yourself or did you have a pattern?

Very Nice!

|
wow. the quilting on the panel makes it such a treasure. I've been looking to make a panel quilt for a fund raiser...and was wondering how to do it. well, now I know!
|
Very good. You did a great job on the details.
|
Oh My son loved, loved , loved Thomas The Tank Engine when he was little. Had to record every episode that Ringo Starr narrated and he had every book by the Reverand W. Awdry. Couldn't go in to town without getting him a book for him to read in his pushchair on the way back, lol!!! He had a duvet cover with Thomas on and Thomas wallpaper. He is now 29, lol, wonder if he would like a quilt????
|
I love Thomas the Train and this is a wonderful adaptation. You did wonderful job in the quilting and making it look as if there is movement. Kudos. Thank you for sharing.
|
Awesome.
|
Fantastic quilt, the detail is exceptional. I have never heard of upsidedown applique? Would you explain a little more about the method? Thanks.

Wow, that is a beautiful quilt!

What great work! Isn't it funny how kids go through a Thomas phase. Both of my grandchildren did. I have a piece of Thomas Christmas fabric that I've never found a use for. My granddaughter found it when she visited when she was 2. She wore it like a cape the whole week.

That is sooooo cute.
