Though the winter woods panel
1 Attachment(s)
Good Morning. I just joined my first quilt guild and they have a challenge to do a panel this is my first panel to do also . LOL so this is what I came up with the panel is called though the Winter Woods by Holly Taylor for Moda fabrics. the block I used is prairie claw block using the template for Square in a square system by Jodi Barrows . and the quilting I did, the design is from Wasatch. all I have left do is to make a label and put on binding. It will be judged by the guild in November and results in Dec.

GREAT job and congrats on your first quilt. I think joining a guild is a great idea. They can be addicting. If you ever feel like the guild does not fit you, find another or find one or two people from the guild that might like to sew in between meetings, or just get together every once in awhile. Best of luck!!

You met the challenge with flying colors! Your blocks compliment the scenery blocks perfectly. I like your quilting designs also. You did well having your challenge almost completed well before the deadline. Have fun being part of a guild. Sew many adventures ahead for you to enjoy.:)

I normally love Holly Taylor fabrics but you have taken these scenes and made them really stand out! The colors and fabrics that you used in conjunction with those scenes are just perfect.

Very pretty. The great thing about the colors in this quilt is you can use it any time in the winter, not just around Christmas.
