I was just looking at all the beautiful quilts that you all have done and I'd thought I would share my last quilt that I finished. Still have a few that need to quilt up, but there are so many fabrics and patterns running around in my head.
Mary My blue and white quilt that I used up SOME of my scraps. |
That would have taken a bit of working out !!! Well done.

I like that! It looks like a scrappy version of Layered Lattice, a pattern I have been thinking of making soon.

Nice quilt. Looks beautiful!

Love all the blues offset by the white! Really crisp.
I know what you mean about all the quilts running around in your head. I'm usually piecing one, quilting another one, and planning two or three, all at the same time! |

It is gorgeous.. I love the color combination..
Beautiful!
I love it!!! What is the pattern name?? Is this for you or a friend?
Gorgeous! What a beauty! :D :D :D
I don't think it has a name. It started out from a picture I saw once and when I started cutting it out, it came out all wrong and this is how it ended up, nothing like the picture I saw. Or should I say it was a "design change"? I decided that it would go to my mother, I haven't made her a quilt yet.

I think I saw this called garden path on About this last month. I really like that your "paths" are little blocks. Great way to use up scraps and it is a lot prettier that the one posted was. Nice job. I like it a lot!
Love the quilt. Your mom is a lucky lady
What a fun quilt. It looks like a mock wedding ring. I love all the scrappy blues. Great job!

Thanks for sharing! That is a beautiful quilt. I really like how your binding looks too!
It is so pretty! I will never live long enough to make all the quilts that I want to. Everytime someone posts a pic, I say oh I want to do that one, and there jsut won't be enough hrs in the day to do them all.
Queen, no matter how it started out, it ended up a beautiful quilt. I like to refer to that kind of situation as a " design oportunity". I like to think it sounds creative. :D :D :D Pam

Fantastic! I love the colors? which pattern did you use??
Renae |
great quilt
Thank you all for all the kind compliments. I have been quilting for 5 years now, but sewed all my life it seems. I had an experience when I was quilting for about 2 years from a lady that said that my quilts weren't good enough to put in a quilt show. That comment really hurt and it has taken me this long to show a quilt on the web. I guess the quilt police lives right down the road from me. LOL
Mary |
Your quilt fantastic! I am happy to see you didn't let her stop you from showing your quilt! keep on quilting..................
Renae :D |
Queen, no one, I repeat NO ONE has the right to say That some one esle's quilt is or is not good enough to put in a quilt show. We just had our quilt show here in tucson and every quilt was exceptional, from the beginners to the experts. I was in awe of all the talent. Your quilt is wonderful and don't ever doubt yourself or your abilities. Small people with small minds feel they have to say mean things to others to make themselves feel important. Keep enjoying quilting. :-) :-) :-) Pam :-) :-) :-)

Amen to that!!!
