Bigger baby quilts make it nice to lay them on when they start rolling over and trying to crawl

If it is all done I would leave it. As others have said it could be used as a toddler size quilt also.

I make my baby quilts 45 x 60. iIn comparing your size with any quilt from youth size to full bed size, I think your dimensions are perfect. Please, don't cut it. I agree with your husband.

Leave it as is. They will appreciate the size. As I understand they advise not using quilts in the crib but it is a great size for some floor time.

I would leave it. Babies grow so fast. Beautiful colors btw.

I agree that babys grow bigger much too soon and a small quilt isn't as useful. IF you really feel it's too big I'd remove a row on each side. it still will be a pretty big baby quilt.

I would leave it longer. It looks fine. :)

I always make my baby quilts 45x60 that way they will fit a 6 yr. crib later on. I would leave it the way you have it.

It's really cute and is a very nice size. They are babies for only a short period of time and this nice size can be used for a lot longer. When I make baby quilts to sell, the longer ones are always the first to go. JMO
