The blue and brown and the pink and brown ones are staying with me but gave the rest for Christmas.

Love them, Hey I need the pattern, where can I get it. I need to make several of those, Granny

kalena 12-28-2011 09:39 AM

They are wonderful. I made a lot of these for gifts too, I buy 50 cents plastic cups at bimart and put inside. Then it is easy to empty. That was a ssuggestion from grammydynn.

jojosnana 12-28-2011 09:59 AM

Wow you were busy. They all look wonderful

QuilterMomma 12-28-2011 10:04 AM

Those are nice. I like that yours is a pin cushion, mine is using tiles covered so can set beverage on. What do you use in your pincushion to keep it stationary?

marilynr 12-28-2011 11:01 AM

Very nice. Beautiful fabrics.

Very nice, can you tell me what you used in the pincushion and what did you use to keep the opening to stay open??

ann clare 12-28-2011 03:47 PM

WOW I love them.

lfstamper 12-28-2011 03:49 PM

I have them before and they are not hard just a little time consuming. Very nice job - love the colors.

sewgarden 12-28-2011 04:08 PM

They are all beautiful. What did you use in the top of the thread catcher to hold it so nicely?

EllenwoodGa 12-28-2011 04:29 PM

Your thread catchers are very pretty. I purchased one at a quilt show and I love it. What book did your sister find the pattern in, I would like to make some of those. They are great gifts.

#1piecemaker 12-28-2011 04:32 PM

Those are so cool. I need one for mine and my DH's machine. He piles his up neatly on the side of the cabinet and I throw mine in the floor for the vacume to pick up. Aren't we awful?

Donna Yount 12-28-2011 06:16 PM

If you would make them to sale, you could make a bundle.

breezyquilts 12-28-2011 06:20 PM

Those are really cute, love the colors!!

KathyPhillips 12-28-2011 08:05 PM

crtwelvecats 12-28-2011 11:44 PM

great job-- they look really handy to have

carslo 12-29-2011 07:33 AM

You did a super job, on these cute thread catchers. I also made some this year and a few went into bountiful baskets at our guild meetings.

probles 12-29-2011 12:01 PM

They are really pretty. I have said for two years I needed to make one for myself and one for my sister. I even have the pattern at hand. I have not started. Maybe seeing yours will give me the incentive to get on it. I currently have a small basket that sits on the floor below me. Problem is I often miss it then have to bend over to pick all the threads up. Good job.

I used sand in the pin cushion part - afraid to use walnut shells because of other people's allergies and 1/2 " polyester boning under the band on top of basket to keep it round and open.

Rumbols 12-29-2011 07:19 PM

Nice. What a gorgeous gift. Thanks for posting.
