What an attractive, clever and very useful item. DH did a great job. Thanks for sharing.

I have one of these, but it is approx. 36 inches tall and is on a swivel base. I bought it in Springfield, Mo. at a sewing shop on St. Louis St. I have had mine for probably 20 years and really like it. Your husband is a crafty fellow

brushandthimble 10-11-2011 04:00 AM

very nice! I like that alot more than the cheap plastic box I bought yesterday:)

RenaB 10-11-2011 04:06 AM

my husband is amazing, I will say I need something and he will go in his garage and close the door, come out with a finished project.. but now at times, he over thinks things too much, I love to make rugs on a frame loom.. the one I had was 2x3 ft..I told him I would like one half that size, after a couple of weeks he drags this huge loom in the house.. it would do a rug 3x5 and had bunches of adjustments to do table runners, place mats, potholders..way too big for the house..sold it and finally got my 1.5 x 2ft size.

ellenmg 10-12-2011 04:01 AM

Hooray for your hubbie! What a clever and talented man you have! I want a thread holder, with dowels long enough to place a bobbin on it too. I always get them separated and waste the bobbin thread....
I'm showing my hubbie this too!!!

twinkie 10-12-2011 04:23 AM

Great job. You must be proud.

catladyquilts 10-12-2011 04:25 AM

ljs317 10-12-2011 04:31 AM
