Yes, I once saw an old fashioned doctors office display in a museum and they had a case somewhat like this and I adapted it from that.

You could make a fortune building these and selling them to the public. Fantastic. My terrific husband is building me the round lazy susan thread holder as I write this. He is so good to me and so tolerant of my sewing and quilting obsession. SO thrilled to know that there still are Knights in Shining Armour still around. Keep up the fabulous work, both, in wood and fabric.
