oh that is great. i was trying to think how to store my connecting threads Essential threads. i have some Sulky thread containers but these wont' fit. i do have a deep plastic container and may do your trick with the dowels. thanks.

Nice way to keep your thread clean and dust free, not to mention color coordinated.

For quilting, both blocks and quilting I use Aurifil. I love this thread! |
Gutterman is my second choice. I really like Mettler. It's nice to my machine.

What a great idea. Thank you for sharing.

Wow! What a neat idea.

A Brilliant ideal thanks for sharing this :D

That is a super idea, keeps the thread organized and clean. Doesn't get dusty sitting on a shelf or wall hanging shelf

Very creative!

I use the little "mesh covers" that are made just for that purpose and it works just fine. |
Absolutely genius! I use similar plastic drawers but just stuff the thread into them. I've found glue guns to be handy for a number of things; will have to add one to my quilting room! Thanks!!!
Great idea...I might just do that soon :) Thanks!
That is good thinking.

Great Idea!! Thanks for sharing & a picture, also!!

What a clever girl you are.

Another great idea to use! It would be so nice to have all my thread in the same place.
Awesome idea! Thanks for sharing. I love how the threed is stored in containers and it stands neatly. Just showed hubby....
what a neat idea, I'm going to try that.
this is the coolest thing ever! I can not wait to get home and do this to my draws! thank you.
Thanks for the idea. Mine is just a mess and I couldn't decide what was the best solution short of spending a fortune. Great idea!
Super idea! Now I need to buy more drawers!
Smart idea! For reg thread I use the bead box out of the jewelry dept at hobby lobby 1.99 you have to lay thread down but colors are easy to identify, holds about 18-24, other wise in fabric dept they are 4.99.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing
very, very clever....mine are currently all in a basket or tote. I am looking for new thread storage ideas, yours came at a good time.

Thank you Mona for sharing your idea with us. That is great!

Genius! And the opaque drawers will keep the light off and stop them from fading. Now if only I hadn't spent about £10 a few months ago on an insert for my drawers... LOL
I have those same drawers and my thread doesn't look like that. But it is going to , I was wondering how I could get it organized better. Thanks
