I was Bound to Binding this weekend and completed three projects ... a large quilt, a small quilt, and a pillow cover/sham of sorts.
(please have patience as the non-techno-geek uploads the pics for you!! ) Here's the Double Rose Trellis. I bought the floral material a few years ago because I loved it. Searched for this pattern and could not find it. Finally, I gave up and decided I would just have to do it sans pattern. And after some fiddling, I figured it out!!!!! The quilt is a little over 100" square. A closer view of the focus fabric, plus to show the four fabrics in the trellis come together in the blocks.. The backing fabric ... not sure if you can see the quilting? The quilt is quite wide and comes to the floor. These cropped corners helps deal with the drag on the corners!! Can you see the rose quilting on the black? Here's a lap sized Stained Glass. The leftovers from my Avatar plus a bit more! The backing for the Stained Glass and a look at the quilting, an all over feathered pattern Getting smaller each time, aren't I? This is a pillow cover/sham of sorts to go with a quilt I made at Christmas time. Alas, it's finished and ready for next year. Although there's nothing Christmas-y here, so the Lost Sheep may stay out. It's useful too out-of-season as it's larger enough to hold the Christmas quilt for storage too! Bored yet? Here's the back of the pillow. Just in case you'd like to see the quilt that the pillow is to go with .... And the back of the quilt .......... |

The floral fabric is what makes it .... and it's such an easy-peazy-no-mind make! :) |
Awesome. They are all wonderful.
|
I love your quilts. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I especially like the shepherd with the sheep. Did you use a pattern for it? Can I ask the name of the pattern? I would really love to make one of these. Thank you for sharing your lovely work. I always get inspired when I see what people have accomplished.

All are gorgeous, first one is my favorite, cute Kitty also. The quilting is gorgeous also. I always round my corners to keep them from hanging on the floor, your idea is good also.

OK everyone ... have to fess up!!!
The cat is not real!! It's one of those fun fake ones that are pretty realistic ..... and over the years has fooled people as the real thing. With all the Quilt Inspectors that get shown, I just had to include it. The dog didn't quite make it into the pics ... to the right of the Stained Glass quilt. Yes, a lifesized black lab in a soft plush ... again very realistic from the distance. Yes, I'm a little warped!!! :) |

The pattern is :Shepherd's Fold Quilt, in Nancy Halvorsen's pattern book called Star of Wonder with fourteen Christmas patterns. I got it thru my LQS. You can get it thru her website. http://shop.arttoheart.com/product.s...3&categoryId=2 I've been thinking of re-working this Shepherd and making him into Little Bo-Peep with her sheep for a baby quilt!!! :) |
