I have three employees retiring at the end of the school year. I decided to make three Wickedly easy quilts as their gifts. Cut them all out and made one. Then decided I wanted them different. So I changed up the other two, using what was already cut out. I like them all. Fun and easy. And completely made from my stash. :D

The real deal

Nice quilts. They are in big competition with your pretty gardens.

Thanks! We have been in the house for a year. The hostas were buried in weeds. It has been a lot of work, but worth it.

quilter2 05-30-2011 03:53 PM

All three are lovely, especially like your colors.

Love all 3 quilts! Did you design yourself - if not, what patterns did you use? I'd be on that swing!!

blueangel 05-30-2011 04:30 PM

They are all lovely.

I totally agree. Love your hostas, too. :)

lauriejo 05-30-2011 04:34 PM

The quilts are all pretty, but I really like the third one.

Karen K. 05-30-2011 04:37 PM

I especially like the one with lots of pinks in it. Too bad I don't work for you. What is the name of the pattern or is it
your own design?

daisey 05-30-2011 04:41 PM

I like easy! But yours are wickedly beautiful!

The original pattern was wickedly easy quilt. The others were my own design using the pieces I cut for the Wickedly Easy quilts that I decided not to make.
I love that swing. DH and I sit out there almost every evening. It is so relaxing.

Great quilts, but I especially love that last one. That bright purple floral print just "pulls" me to it! All of them are lovely.

That was my own creation.

lauriejo 05-30-2011 04:52 PM

I've always wanted a porch swing, and the hostas just make it perfect.

Love them all! You have a great eye for putting the fabrics and colors together.

MargeD 05-30-2011 05:15 PM

Great quilts and I love the colors. I keep seeing quilts similar to these in quilt magazines and guess I'll have to try my hand at making one in t he near future. First I have to complete making the blocks for a family reunion quilt (which I have to finish and send to NE before July 4) and quilt I made for my sister's great granddaughter. We were supposed to make it together, but she passed away a year ago last Sept. and I've just finished making the top. She wanted a twin-size quilt, so it took a little longer to make, especially since it took some time for me to be able to work on it, but there were happy memories along with the sad ones. I just wish we could have made it together, but in a way she was right there with me while I made it.
