Toile Stars my way
1 Attachment(s)
A while back another member posted a picture of her black toile stars, but said she didn't know if there was a pattern, didn't mention a designer, only that she had made it at a retreat. So, I studied the pic, compared it to accuquilt's Storm at Sea using the GO and came up with my own pattern. Now that the top is done, I need suggestions on how to quilt it.

wow!!!! love the way this one turned out!
Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!! You did a wonderful job on this quilt! No help with quilting from me though.
It came out stunning especially with the toile fabric.
Very pretty!!!!
What a wonderful quilt! I so love toile and black and white. This quilt really stole my heart.
I bought some of that fabric in the quilt you have on the bed. Seems we have close to the same taste. |
What a great job you did. That is so pretty. I love that pattern and the black and white is so beautiful.
Very nicely done. You could quilt almost any way. I might ditch it or meander with invisible thread to avoid distracting from the sharp contrast,
Beautiful!!! I have not worked with toile but I love the way you made this one. Great job.
So pretty. I just love toile.
Any quilting would be beautiful on this gorgeous top. Love it! Lots of feathers?
That came out amazing!!!!
Great job! This is still on my list.
Not sure how to quilt it but I like it so far. Would love to see the big red patch you have under it also that is covering your bed, please and thank you:)

Sew pretty. Congratulations on figuring it all out.

I remember that quilt and how much I loved it. You did a great job too. How about SID around the stars and doing a feathered wreath in the large squares. Sorry, I am not more creative. I'm still a newbie at FMQ.

No idea on the quilting. Just wanted to tell you I think that it is stunning. BrendaK

Used the 6" square, 6 1/2" HST, value die, 3" triangle in a square, 2 1/2" & 4 1/2" strip cutters. |
I love toile and your quilt top is just beautiful. Can't make any suggestions for quilting though. Golly, I can barely meander and stipple!
I love the way you have used this pattern and the toile fabric. I have always admired the toile fabric, but I could not figure out how to use it in a quilt without detracting from the pattern. You have done a super job.
That is gorgeous! You did a fantastic job!
Gorgeous quilt.
That's beautiful!
