Toile Stars my way

1 Attachment(s)
A while back another member posted a picture of her black toile stars, but said she didn't know if there was a pattern, didn't mention a designer, only that she had made it at a retreat. So, I studied the pic, compared it to accuquilt's Storm at Sea using the GO and came up with my own pattern. Now that the top is done, I need suggestions on how to quilt it.

ManiacQuilter2 11-07-2015 10:12 AM

It came out stunning especially with the toile fabric.

quiltingcandy 11-07-2015 10:29 AM

Very pretty!!!!

RedGarnet222 11-07-2015 10:58 AM

What a wonderful quilt! I so love toile and black and white. This quilt really stole my heart.

I bought some of that fabric in the quilt you have on the bed. Seems we have close to the same taste.

What a great job you did. That is so pretty. I love that pattern and the black and white is so beautiful.

QM 11-07-2015 12:32 PM

Very nicely done. You could quilt almost any way. I might ditch it or meander with invisible thread to avoid distracting from the sharp contrast,

maryb119 11-07-2015 12:35 PM

Beautiful!!! I have not worked with toile but I love the way you made this one. Great job.

mike'sgirl 11-07-2015 12:43 PM

Sew pretty. Congratulations on figuring it all out.

I remember that quilt and how much I loved it. You did a great job too. How about SID around the stars and doing a feathered wreath in the large squares. Sorry, I am not more creative. I'm still a newbie at FMQ.

QUILTNMO 11-07-2015 04:28 PM

Used the 6" square, 6 1/2" HST, value die, 3" triangle in a square, 2 1/2" & 4 1/2" strip cutters.

AlvaStitcher 11-09-2015 05:08 AM

I love toile and your quilt top is just beautiful. Can't make any suggestions for quilting though. Golly, I can barely meander and stipple!

Nanoo 11-09-2015 05:58 AM

I love the way you have used this pattern and the toile fabric. I have always admired the toile fabric, but I could not figure out how to use it in a quilt without detracting from the pattern. You have done a super job.

JanieH 11-09-2015 06:20 AM

That is gorgeous! You did a fantastic job!

callen 11-09-2015 06:29 AM
