I love the piano key border but think the keys should be longer, they're kind of stubby.
|
I think the Piano keys conflict with the Quilt, Which is beautiful, a Yellow would really make it pop!
|
I love the border in the size you did; think it enhances rather than diminishes the quilt.
One fabric borders, print or solid, almost always look to me like an attempt to enlarge the quilt w/o too much effort. |
Looks fantastic. I vote for solid border.
|
I like it even without borders!! But, I do like your piano keys.

I like the border, but I would also add another black border on the outside, a little wider than the other black one, & it might give your piano key border a bit of a floating affect, which you might like better too. Good job, nice quilt!...

It will be beautiful either way. Piano key borders are so pretty. I think a black border will make the blocks stand out more than the piano keys will. They are sooooooo pretty!!! I like TanyaLynn's suggestion to use a piano key binding.

I made one in autumn colors and used a LARGE leaf print with a black background, it looks great if I do say so myself.

I like the black around it. :) Good luck-can't wait to see what the finished product looks like. :)
