I agree. Baby quilts do not have to follow a specific theme. Unique is good. :)

I can't believe you think it's hideous! I think it's adorable!! :D

I love the pictures. Do you remember the name of the fabric?

sewbizgirl 09-23-2011 08:15 PM

Thank you all so much for the encouragement. Of course, the people who hated it didn't comment...

I will go ahead and give it because this is a third baby and the parents are down to earth people. I'm sure they can use it, even if it's not a beauty queen...

Thank you so much for your kind comments. You learn a little more with each quilt you make!

Bless you all...

I like it. he will indeed grow up with it and keep it with fond memories of the lady who made it.

Which one? If you mean the little cartoon-y kid's print, it says "The Land of Milk and Honey". It was some I got at Walmart years ago, when they were getting rid of the fabric dept. Probably 5-8 years ago... It's a nice, thick, high quality American made cotton, the likes of which you do not see at Walmart anymore.

The rest of the fabrics are all just random things from my stash.

I agree with everyone else I LIKE IT

personally, I think it is real nice, cute

Definitely give it as planned. I don't go for traditional baby colors either. I like what you did with it, it is your own color choice and they will be pleased as punch.

Thanks, it was the kid prints I wondered.
