Very nice job! I would just use several of the fabrics for the binding a you used in the quilt.

It saves having a separate fabric for the binding and really pulls the whole piece together. It really does look nice, especially if your backing is a solid color or tonal.

all of my left over strips are 2" wide.... will those work for the binding?

It only means your binding will be a bit narrower-remember, you double it over -sew it on from the front using a 1/4" seam and fold it over to the back to sew down. Some people like to machine sew the binding after flipping it to the back, but I like to invisible-hand stitch it down. It shouldn't be a problem if you trim your quilt sandwich to make nice even edges and take a SCANT 1/4 seam, being careful to catch the sandwich. If your batting is a med/high loft, it may be a problem, but try it on an area first by just pinning it in the 1/4 mark and fold it to the back and see if it covers your seam.

This is VERY nice! Can you tell me how many different batiks you used? I am wondering if you might like what's called "piano keys" border. You can find more info at this site: http://tlc.howstuffworks.com/home/pi...er-pattern.htm
Great job! DI
