What about cutting the blocks diagonally, corner to corner, then adding co-ordinating color-ways triangles to each block and putting the resulting blocks together with sashing.

This way you would have two quilts, :lol: then should you decide you still do not want to finish the quilt(s)..... they would make really great silent auction donations for your Guild. :thumbup:
Edited to read: cutting the quilt apart at each block, instead of taking out seams( then re-do as above)....

I think the black border and black quilting in the brown would really bring out the colors. It is a beautiful quilt, just like a cake, it needs frosting.

It is really hard to find a quilt that has masculine appeal. I think you will have it if you quilt it in dark brown thread. That will give movement to the plain brown paper sack looking fabric. I also liked the idea of embroidery or something to tone down the green. Trust us, and finish it.
