A Touch of Yellow
1 Attachment(s)
I loved the pattern "A Touch of Red" on Modabakeshop, so I decided to make it in yellows. I did NOT, however, cut almost 700 2-1/2" squares. There is an easier way.
Anyway, here's my quilt - it's a kingsize about 106" square. |

Like your color and fabric choices. Love how your border fabric ties in all your other fabrics. That is one large quilt! Please tell us your "easier" way. Thanks for sharing.

|
Very pretty, I like the yellow in it. Good color choices.
|
A show stopper! I love it. By the way, what is the easier way to cut all those pieces?
This is one big fabulous ray of sunshine. peace |
Nicely done! So nice to find a better way to make the quilt! Luann in CT
|
I love it! Mine would be in blues, I think.
I would say you make a square in the yellow, say about 5" or so, put 2 1/2" contrasting strips around the square. Cut it in half in both directions. Flip around two opposite quarters of the square and sew back together. Make about 128 of these squares and set them on point. Add contrasting setting triangles and borders. Do I win? |
love your yellow quilt!
|
Lovely quilt! Like your choice of yellow! :)
