I'm not complaining because I do have a dedicated sewing room. The negative is that I have to keep it rather orderly and close all my tables up when we have company as it also doubles as our guest room. This week we've had lots of guests so my machine had to go to bed and all my projects put away. It makes for a tight space with my cutting table and sewing table open, but I'm planning on taking my daughter's room when she leaves in the fall  Thought some of you may be interested to see how I keep things organized and somewhat tidy in a small space.

I keep the blinds closed unless I'm in there to prevent any thread issues. And the door is usually kept open so the fat quarter rack is similarly shaded from sunlight.

My closet is full of fabric, but all of it is folded and organized neatly. The grey dresser is full of fabric yardage arranged by color. And there are tubs hidden under the bed full of folded yardage. My Studio cutter and dies are easily accessible on the window seat that I tiled for ease of use. Because it's south facing, I get really good lighting when I want to.

What a great room. I love how you have stored your fabric behind the door. May have to steal this idea for my "guest room".
