Gee, I wonder what our lawnmower is worth in fabric? And would my husband agree? ha! Good deal sounds like you both came out well on the deal.

littlehud 07-06-2010 09:09 PM

What great fabrics. Who needs a lawnmower anyway. Just kidding. You got a great deal.

MadQuilter 07-06-2010 09:15 PM

....and much prettier. Good deal!

wvdek 07-06-2010 10:03 PM

Well you can get a workout with the lawnmower but the fabric will give you more pleasure. Hmmm, wonder if I can make such a deal.

sharon b 07-07-2010 12:11 AM

And she knows the fabric will be used and loved

Heck, a lawnmower isn't nearly as much fun. Those are beaut.

annieshane 07-08-2010 07:06 PM

Great trade. My husband has one in the back of the yard that is 6 years old. He keeps saying he is going to sell it. Heck, I would pay someone to take it away. Sure wish I could find someone with fabric to trade for the mower.

Heck! I'll trade DH for fabric. Just kidding. Now a long arm would be very tempting.

pollyjvan9 07-09-2010 06:10 AM

Now that's a great trade. I would rather have fabric than a lawnmower any day!

Quilt4u 07-09-2010 06:11 AM

Seriously though, I love all the colorful fabric that you got in the trade. Lucky barter you made. I just can't imagine how this happened, though. A lawnmower for fabric .... Hummm.

CherokeeGal 07-09-2010 07:30 AM

Just maybe.....I could trade off some of my husband's tools & he has PLENTY! WOW! What a fantastic idea!

Finch isn't pulling your legs either! I went with her when I came to visit her and that lady had tons of nice fabric in bins. very quiet, sweet lady. I got 15 yards myself for $15.00. Some i p.i.f. with and some im keeping! Postal rates will go up such as fabric so I think i better hang on with what I have now! Joann is a very thoughtful person (Finch) and she can sew too!

mountain-moma 07-09-2010 01:21 PM

Oh i thought of my Dad he had done lots of that kind of tradeing, sure wished i sew then but mom took care of it you sure got the best end of the deal

zz-pd 07-11-2010 07:15 PM

amandasgramma 07-11-2010 07:21 PM

I just popped this up when DH walked in the room. I read it to him.....he said "don't even think of it". ROL I told him I was actually thinking of trading his boat for the fabric.....THAT got me an "eye roll"....ROLMAO!
