Trial run on fabric box

1 Attachment(s)
This was my trial run for the fabric box, it's a 10 1/2" one. I was quite happy with the result and found they're so quickly made. Lovely little give-aways for special occasions. Thanks for looking!!! :)

Quiltngolfer 11-12-2013 03:15 PM

It's a cutie! I'm going to try one tomorrow.

Love the colors!!

Like your fabric box. I am working on them, too. They are fast and fun. I like woven batting, the kind you buy by the yard. Seems to give them nice body.

annievee 11-12-2013 04:41 PM

Very nice colors you used. Turned out great. aren't they quick and fun!
I wonder how many people have actually made some of these cuties? lots of threads about them on QB. I have made seven so far.

I've made 2. I sewed 2 sides to the inside so I wouldn't have the corners poking out.

Camille 11-12-2013 07:20 PM

I love them all. The colors are perfect. Along with batting, I added firm interfacing which stabilizes them even further. You can also use Timtex. Pellon makes the same product also. I have my entire quilting group making them for Christmas gifts.

Looks good to me

Oh, it is adorable!

Pat G 11-14-2013 07:21 AM

I finally did a cpl. of these boxes but played around with the measurements to get boxes that aren't so deep. I'm using 2 of them as thread catchers. One near my cutting mat & the other beside my sew.mach. Love them.

MargeD 11-14-2013 10:06 AM
