azdesertrat-I think I got the pattern from quilter's cache.

the quilt as you go is very easy, my friend and I just finished one ( quilt ) and donated it toProject Keeping Cadance and now are making one for childrens' miracle network. I like to leave a little more than a 1/2 inch around block that way if your blocks vary a little it won't matter. it really is easy, if you can't afford to send out your quilt to be quilted this is the way to go and it is fast. try it you'll like it good luck

WOW! I love the colors! Can't wait to see it done!
I have some blocks that are sandwiched so I can do the quilt as you go, but haven't gotten to them as of yet

Thank you huggyface for your help. I tried the process last year, but left 2" around and ripped it all out, ended up tying it, but my friend loved it anyway.

Oooh wow, it looks really gorgeous! And love the floral fabric you chose, really beautiful! :)

Will you have to put sashing around the blocks to sew them together after you sandwich and quilt the block?

It's a beautiful block!!!

Wow! Can't wait to see it finished! I'm so intrigued with the "quilt-as-you-go" technique.

Wow! That's gonna be gorgeous when you finish it

Carol W-You can either sash it or not, slightly different directions if you sash, but these won't have sashing.
