I don't understand why you don't like it - I think it's beautiful. Maybe you just worked too long on it and got tired of it. I think your SIL will like it, border or no border.

Even though I am not a huge purple fan, this is a beautiful quilt. Anyone that likes purple will absolutly love this. My grandmother that recently passed would have went nuts over this quilt. these were her favorite colors.

maybe you should put a large floral border on and then it would appeal to you more. it's a nice quilt though!
