I like the pattern and colors

I have a niece that is getting married this fall, she just loves purple. She would go crazy for that quilt! Beautiful!

Hold on --- FIRST try to see IF she likes purple because if she doesn't, that beautiful quilt (yes, it is beautiful!) would be wasted on her. It's too nicely done to risk giving to someone who possibly wouldn't go for the colors.

There are times when I work on a quilt so long that I'm sick of it, and if I actually manage to finish it I think I'll never want to see it again. You may have hit that wall on this quilt! I think it's beautiful, and I'm sure your sis-in-law will love it. But I think you should just keep it put away for a couple of months and then look again. You may like it a lot better then (after you've had time to heal!)

Ask her if she likes it enough to have it. Why not make sure she won't feel obligated to use something that she might not like? You can always offer to make something different if she says she doesn't like that one but would love to have one of your quilts. Honesty - best policy and up front saves a lot of feelings!
