Your quilts are darling. Very girly! I'm glad you posted about your binding. It has always made sense to me to sew onto the back and turn to the front. I can make the front look nice and not worry so much if I wiggle off the line in places. Sometimes I've sewn onto the front and turned to the back because the little quilt angel on my shoulder reminds me that's what a seasoned quilter would tell me to do. I usually always wish I'd done it the way I like, back to front.

Beautiful quilts!

I just switched from hand sewing the binding down on the back to sewing the binding all by machine. It's totally fine for the quilts that I make. Attach it to the back, flip it around to the front, then sew it down. HATED hand sewing the binding down on the back. I don't why I didn't switch sooner...

I would be afraid the blanket stitch would be a " toe catcher".....

Im so glad to see others sew on the back and turn to the front. I thought you had to sew on the front. My back always looks better than the front on the corners. I'm sewing on the back from now on. Geri I took out about one inch when I first started and thought I would never get it out. Surprisingly it is really sewed together good. I also forgot to say that I did all of the piecing on my serger. With this Missouri Star pattern it was fine and it was really fast.

Love your quilts. One quilter said I was putting the binding on backwards (like you). Told her it was how I did it. I also start at the lower left or right of the quilt.
