I finished quilting from top to bottom border! Took the quilt off the frame to turn it and couldn't resist getting some pictures of it so far.
Going to turn it and re-attach to the frame (thank goodness for the Red Snappers) and do the two arcs on each side and the side borders. |
Gorgeous Pam!!!!!!

Thank you. I have a long way to go for precise control but I see improvement from the last quilt. Need one of those magnifying circles that I saw somewhere that attaches to the machine.
My eyesight (and my glasses) are such that the distance I am away from the machine is my absolutely worse point. It's too close to see clearly with my glasses on and too far away (supposed to use my glasses for further away than my fingertips) to see clearly without them. It's that sweet spot... or I should say my "sour" spot. |
It is getting more gorgeous. You are sure doing a nice job with the quilting.
|
Looking very nice, Pam. Your daughter is going to love it.

WOW!

Pam, this is just breathtaking! You should be proud.
Can you please tell me what ruler you are using for the arches and the source you got it from? I want to try my hand at Curved crosshatching and can't decide what rulers to get. I definitely want Rhonda's rulers for Curved crosshatching but don't know which size to get. |
Looks very nice. Great Job!
|
It is finally finished. You did a lot of work but it paid off. Your quilt is really BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
|
I'm using Deloa's Boomerang, I got it in several sizes. This is the first time I've used curved so I can't say if they are worse or better than anything else.
http://deloasquiltshop.com/ This is the 20" size and it's still not big enough to extend to where the two arcs meet along the edge. That's really why I gave up doing the cross hatching, it wouldn't reach. Especially from the 4-patch between the arcs to the farthest point that each line would need to go on the other side of the arc. I tried over and over and it just wasn't going to work. |
Pam - I know I've said it before but I am continually amazed by your work! I just hopped over to your blog and will now keep updated there too! Thanks for sharing!
