very pretty quilt. I have been wanting to make one of these but I'm not sure that I'd be able to pick out that many fq's that would look as good together as your does. I have only made 2 quilts so far and am working on a third. I have just stuck with 3 colors for each so far...but someday I hope to expand to lots of colors. I'm really new at quilting. I just started last summer but I plan on quilting for many many years so I have plenty of time to expand my horizions.

The black outline is the sun shining thru the quilt, I hadn't noticed it!!! As for the 20 FQs, my niece's fav color is blue so I choose the first blue and went from there. I tried to make sure there were some accent colors and not all blue. Kalee LIKED it for sure.

Its wonderful. Blue is one of my other favorite colors. I'm with country quilter it will make a good first project for my grand daughter. If I know her it will probably be pink purple and blue just like granma

Ruth  I like it! Very colorful. Think I could come up with a "58"? LOL

I have 7 of these Turning Twenty quilts under my bed right now. My mini-group made them for charity and we haven't passed them out yet. I'd rather store them on the bed, but I sure don't want something spilled on them by one of my g-kids! They're drawn to quilts like moths to light! :D I love this pattern. You can make it up in a weekend. Well, the top anyway!

the turning twenty pattern is really easy,if "work" doesn't get in the way or anything else for that matter, you can easily finish the top in a few hours, like she said it takes 20 fat quaters, make sure they are true fat quaters,I made a one out of asian fabric, but some of the fat quarters ,after I washed them, shrunk so bad the is was no longer a true fat quater,so I ended up using the equivilent of 36 fat quarters,Which is why you always prewash your fabric.

Your niece is going to love that!! The colors are so pretty together. I have a friend who got me started quilting using this pattern (unfortunately is is still a WIP). I hope to finish it after Christmas. It is a fun pattern! You did a great job!

I can't believe this. Recently, at a quilt show I saw a beautiful quilt made with sectioned blocks using a variety of floral fabrics. It was labeled "Turnkey Twenty." I have been on the web about 10 times doing searches for the pattern. I came to the Quilting Board this morning with the intention of asking if any of you had heard of it. Before I got that far I saw this post. LOL So now I wonder if I read it wrong at the quilt show or if it was labeled wrong. No matter. I am soooooooooooooo happy to have found it! :-o :D

Thanks Belinda for bringing the thread back up & thanks Love 2 Quilt for the original pic.

Lin - did your quilt group ever finish those charity ones?

I'd love to see pictures of others any of you have made.
