Twin sister to my 9 patch scrappy posted a while ago

Just finished last night.
I still have so many scraps--but as most of you noted, it seems I never work them down to nothing--am always creating more. It's a 9 patch scrappy using a 2.5" solid black sashing, hot pink inner border and floral border. I finished one last August and was so surprised by how nice it ended up looking that I wanted to make a "twin" only using black instead of white. They are both very pretty quilts. Looks like a great way to use scraps.
nicely done
Both are gorgeous! Great job. I may have to steal this idea. So simple, but impressive!
They are both beautiful. My scrap bins are getting full so I must get started on them soon!
Your scrappy quilts are wonderful! Love them both!!
Very nice, really like both!
Both are fantastic! Hmm. . I wonder how many corners you had to match up!! AAARRRGGGHHH
Beautiful! Can you tell me what size you cut to make the 9 patches? are they also 2 1/2" squares?
Both so pretty. The nine patches could be made while sewing other projects, using the pieces as starters and stoppers.
Truly awesome quilts!
You have put together 1050 little tiny blocks. There is no way I could do that! I'd go insane. Having said that you should know that I think both your quilts are beautiful.
What a wonderful way to use scraps, even the smallest ones! outer borders make the black quilt pop as well as the sashing. Those quilts will surely receive lots of love ! Thanks for sharing.
"Same Different as Me" is the name of a book. It think it fits your quilts here. I am a twin and I love that they are the same but different.
Both quilts are lovely. They have very different "personalities" due to the different background fabric.

I feel for you having to match all those sashings. you did a great job! lovely quilts.
Great quilts, wonderful patterns for using scraps. :)
Fantastic. The same pattern results in two entirely different looking quilts. I love the outcome.
Nice job...I'd like to make one too.
Nice work on both quilts. Great way to use up scraps.
Both are great, I don't know which one I like best.
I like them both, and I really appreciate seeing the difference the sashing makes. Gives me ideas!
Love them both, but you need to keep a lid on those scraps or they will multiply while you aren't looking. LOL
nice work! I love both of them
Both are beautiful, but I like the one with the black a little better, because of the use of black. It seems to make the
colors in the rest of the quilt pop. |
