I like it with, a few fabric changes it would make a nice christmas quilt with the red and green.

Easy, really. I cut 12 5" blocks of each fabric. Lets call them color 1 & color 2.
From the 12 blocks of color 1, make 3 4-patch blocks. Do the same with Color 2 blocks.

Then you sew 4-patch 1 to 4-patch 2. That's Row 1. Row 2 will be 4-patch 2 next to 4-patch 1.
Row 3 will be the same as Row 1.

Using your twister tool, cut out your squares and put them in the same order. You will have a solid block in the center of each section. Substitute a different 3-1/2" square for the center of each section so that the other blocks form a frame around the new block. Then sew your twister squares together and there you are!

What a cool idea!!! That has lots of possibilities, think photos in the centers? or wow this could really develop into some interesting quilts. thanks for sharing.

definitely different. I can see this with Xmas cloth in the center squares to make a neet Xmas runner.
