I just bought a lil twister from my LQS. I am making a B&W purse for my first project. Your quilt is awesome and the ruler is amazing.

and here I thought you were going to tell us about a twister that hit your town! Duh!
Neat design. |
I just started to make a patriotic table mat from a kit I purchased in Ladysmith, WI. The small twister is going together nicely. I think the template - which is well worth the investment - is from Country Schoolhouse Quilt Shop of Superior, WI.
I am looking forward to making a larger quilt with this technique. Thanks for posting your info and pictures. Sew On :-) |
Looks like fun.

Is it the same pattern, tessellating pinwheels, as the one posted a week or so ago by hulahoop? It looks the same.

That is a very pretty quilt.

Is the Lil' Twister and the Twister ruler the same angle for placing on the sewn seam? I was wondering if you could use the Lil' Twister for lining up and just cut bigger. That way you could use any size square to start with.

Then, when I actually drew out the "sewn together" squares of 9.5 inches ---- placed the little twister template on top of 6.5 in square acrylic ruler I have on hand. Tracing that on paper, there is leftover fabric so I think the large twister could be 7.5 in square. Any suggestions welcome :-) |
Very nice!

This looks very very simular. Mine was done with a template.
