Two Baby Boy Quilts Finished!!
4 Attachment(s)
I just finished two quilts for my 1 year old grandson. The first is a small, bright scrappy that is just 36" square, hopefully the size he can drag around soon. The second is a two sided quilt, one side with blue and gray puppy dogs and prints, the back side is a police officer theme since that is what his Dad does. !

Very nice! Love both quilts but especially the one with police theme! Where did you find that fabric? Been looking for some to make my grandsons quilts since my son is a police officer.

Nice quilts. I love brights, so the first one is my favorite. Looks like it would glow in the dark.

Great job! I am particularly interested in the second one. I saw a quilt like this named Fractions and have not been able to find it since. Which pattern is this. I'm really wanting to make this for my step son for his wedding using batiks....

FRONT: the blocks finish at 10" square. Each block has a print center that is cut 10 1/2" x 6 1/2". The two white side pieces are cut 10 1/2" x 2 1/2". Sew the two white pieces to each long side of the print rectangle. Alternate the placement--one horizontal and the next vertical. No sashing or borders! BACK: each block finishes at 12" square. For each print fabric, cut two rectangles 12 1/2" x 5 1/2". For each block cut one solid (black in mine) color 12 1/2" x 2 1/2" and sew the solid strip in the middle of the two print rectangles. That is your block! Cut another 12 1/2" x 2 1/2" sold strip to sew between each block, making the rows as long as you want them. I then added sashing in the same solid color (black) horizontally between each row. No borders. if you have any questions please don't hesitate to PM me!! Both are really easy. |
Adorable baby boy quilts. Love the double sided quilts. Your grandson will be over joyed with them.
|
Super cute quilts! he will have lots to look at. Nice work!
|
Love them! The backs are just as wonderful as the fronts!
|
Wow they are gorgeous :)
|
Cute quilts..

Two lucky boys! Great quilts! Where did you find the dinosaur print? My DD has requested that I make a quilt using the cute counted cross stitch dinosaur blocks she is making. I have some of the fabric, but that would be perfect for a border or backing.
