Two Blues that I finished this week
 

Last weekend i finished a raffle quilt for the local high school's theater company. My sons were involved and got me involved. They left and I have stayed on for 13 years.

The second quilt is for my younger son. I have owed this to him too long.

It is a trip around the world and she put same fabric in her design instead of a differnt color in each round. I have made a lot of those., they are really pretty.

Thanks for the complements. I am very partial to blue also.

The first one just looks like Trip around the world. It is a half square log cabin set in a barn raiser pattern.

I have one more blue in the basement that needs work on. It is a double Irish chain that will have Mickey Mouse heads appliqued into the plain squares for my sister and her husband who have a white iron bed with Mickey Mouse heads as the top of the posts.

I love all the patterns folks use and all the effort that goes in to them, but there is something very comforting about a "simple" collection of squares/strips.

Those are lovely. I was trying to organize my fabric over the weekend and I have a LOT of blue. Maybe it's time for a project.
