The baby quilt is cute , but the "Abe" quilt is gorgeous. Great job!!

Very, very nice!

Wonderful projects.

Using a walking foot should eliminate that problem. On kids quilts, I bag them, leave 3" opening, turn right side out, press well, pin and with my walking foot, quilt. No need for binding this way. Just sew opening closed.

I love your Bedtime story quilt. What a gret idea! the wallhanging is great also.

SharonAnne,
I'm impressed. You always talk about being a newbie, your work looks much better than someone new to quilting. Good job. |
Wow! You are doing a wonderful job for a new quilter--I'd never guess you'd only done one before!!
That is funny about your dgs and ol' Abe. I had a fascination with Abraham Lincoln when I was about that age, too. I had two books in particular about him that I loved and I wish I could remember what the title were! I may do some hunting on Amazon later--I know I'd recognize the cover art, if it's the same. If I find out anything, I'll PM you! |
love them both

Both quilts are great! Thanks for sharing!

Both are beautiful! The book idea is fantastic ... I've made the books before, but this is a wonderful idea! The Abe Lincoln quilt is perfect as is!
