two-fabric quilt

2 Attachment(s)
Hello there.

I had these fabrics for bedroom window curtains. I have since decided to go with another color scheme.

Now I want to make a quilt from these. I want to do the quilt using only these two fabrics.
I googled 2-fabric quilts images and came up with the following images.

Which one(s) do you think would look good with my fabrics?
Feel free to suggest other patterns. Pictures or links are appreciated.

Agree! Love this. :)

gabeway 02-26-2013 05:53 AM

I'm with 13th street.

cindy4857 02-26-2013 06:03 AM

I liked both of these pattern, with the one from quiltermag.com being my fav. http://www.lynbrown.com/wp-content/u...andy-block.jpg http://www.thequiltermag.com/images/...emma_grace.jpg. But when I first looked at the 13 street pattern I thought I would be interesting with your colors.

dlong 02-26-2013 06:06 AM

Any of them would be pretty out of your fabric, but the 2nd would be so quick and easy.

ruthrings 02-26-2013 06:50 AM

The lynbrown is like Anita's Arrowhead, which I think is so much fun to do. It gives the illusion of being difficult, but is really quite easy. I don't know if the lynbrown method is the same, though.

mighty 02-26-2013 06:52 AM

I like the 2nd and 3rd.

racerh 02-26-2013 07:15 AM

13th street - no doubt!

blueangel 02-26-2013 07:27 AM

Too many choices and I like them all, so I am not much help. Love the fabric.

QuiltNama 02-26-2013 07:44 AM

I like the 2nd one and the 3rd one.

Learner747 02-26-2013 08:09 AM

I like the 13th Street best of all. Each fabric is showcased.

grammysharon 02-26-2013 09:33 AM

I like the blue and white one with the pinwheels!!!!

Halo 02-26-2013 09:59 AM

I think #1 would be a fantastic looking quilt in your choice of fabrics.

craftynell 02-26-2013 10:13 AM

I like the 1st on.

Chasing Hawk 02-26-2013 10:17 AM

Love No. 1 too!

SewCraftyGirl 02-26-2013 12:13 PM

My favorite was the 1st one.

If you are looking for additional ideas, I saw this today and think it would look wonderful with your fabric choices as well.

My preference is the first one.

Dreaming 02-26-2013 12:51 PM

I like the 13th street one. I think it would work well with your fabric.

richardswife 02-26-2013 03:03 PM

I like 1&3 and I love your fabric.

chips88 02-26-2013 03:18 PM

ube quilting 02-26-2013 03:40 PM

I like the first choice and would like to add the hunters star and jacobs ladder to the list. Both look great in two color schemes.
peace

QUILTNMO 02-26-2013 03:58 PM

i like the first !!!

AlienQuilter 02-26-2013 04:46 PM

Gorgeous fabric.

Here's some more options: (I also vote for Hunters Star which is the second picture on the following link)

fxsts93kf 02-26-2013 07:55 PM

I'm going to be the third one for a Hunters Star. It's really beautiful in two colors! If not, I really like the 13th street one. Good Luck!

Cindy60545 02-27-2013 03:14 AM

I think #1 & #7 would look great with these fabrics. The swirl material as the pinwheels, squares with the leaves as the background would be very interesting.

GeePatti 02-27-2013 04:34 AM

I like #1 and #3 for these fabrics. #2 is a bit too linear for my taste, but the disappearing 4-patch one looks good, too.

What happy fabrics! Please share your decision.

solstice3 02-27-2013 04:34 AM

I like the dockside the best followed by lynn brown. THere is a bit more work involved but I think it would be worth it.

JaniceP 02-27-2013 04:39 AM

I like the first one and with your fabric it would look nice.

lillybeck 02-27-2013 04:42 AM

I like to fourth one down.

2manyhobbies 02-27-2013 05:03 AM

I vote for 1, 4, and 5. And yeah, I had to open all the sites. Curiosity got me. What did we ever do without the Internet!

Nancy Ingham 02-27-2013 07:16 AM

My favorites for your fabric are the 1st, 4th and 7th. Good luck with whichever you choose!
Please share photos with us of your quilt when completed! :)

margie77072 02-27-2013 07:17 AM

I love #3 but I'm not sure it would work for your fabrics. I love the fabrics. Which one is the focus fabric? That's what I would base my decision on.

0tis 02-27-2013 07:22 AM

I like your fabric - I love how it looks like finger painting. I looked at the patterns - loved the first one - however, I am worried that your fabrics don't have enough contrast - meaning that they are so close together in color that it will be difficult to make a pattern stand out - so I wonder if you should add one additional color - just as a contrast. I think whatever you pick will work with the pretty colors - I just think it would pop better with one more contrasting fabric.
