Two Finishes this Summer

3 Attachment(s)
I completed these two quilts this summer. The first is "Ember" designed by Christine Stainbrook for RJR fabrics. The second is "Daisy Chain" by Wilmington Fabrics. It has much more purple than shows in the first picture of it so I am showing a close-up to try to give a better idea of the colours. Most of the fabrics for these two quilts were from my stash.

Both those quilts are just fabulous! You did such a great job with the colors. That's always the hardest part of a quilt for me. That's why I like kits so much. Your quilting on both quilts is fantastic and perfect for them both. Thanks so much for sharing what you've been doing this summer.

Both are great quilts.

Ember really does look like a fire pit with a warm fire burning.

Daisy Chain, oh my I love the colours you have used.

Thank you too for naming the designers of each pattern.

There both amazing quilts, you did an awesome job, love the colors.

PurplePassion 09-04-2016 07:50 AM

I would have never thought of doing a quilt in the shape of your first one. I always think more along the lines of square or rectangle. What is the size of it? You did a great job. It looks so awesome. And the purple one....anything with purple is a winner for me. Beautiful work!!

The size is 32" x 32". It is a free pattern at: http://www.rjrfabrics.com/media/file...ble-tested.pdf

Use the little icon at the top of the thread posting - it is 3rd from the left. Keep your pictures small and you should have no trouble.

No, there is no paper piecing in the second quilt - just applique and ordinary piecing.
