It’s been a couple years since I made the top, so I’m not sure where I got the pattern. It’s made from 2 1/2 inch strips exclusively. Sew pairs of strips together and subcut into 4.5 and 10.5 rectangles. The smaller units go at both ends of every other row. Join into rows with 2 1/2 inch background strips between the colored sections. I used leftover strips to make the borders. I hope this helps.

This was a twisted log cabin using the Quilt In A Day specialty ruler.
