Two more UFO's completed

WooHoo.....two more UFO's crossed off my list for 2014. Thanks to all of those on the 2014 UFO Challenge thread for all your encouragement and support through this year. I've accomplished more than I ever thought I would when the challenge started in January. Only two more quilts on my UFO list to complete.

Congratulations to you! They are both beautiful. I didn't get as far on that task as I wanted to.

Grandma Bonnie 12-03-2014 12:52 PM

Both are beautiful quilts! Congrats on the finishes!

BrendaK 12-03-2014 01:04 PM

Both are beautiful. My one machine is at the doctor's not sure when it will be released. Bummer as I have so much to do before Christmas. Glad you were able to finish both of these and were able to share. BrendaK

Thank you so much, Woody. The second quilt is a Bonnie Hunter design called Scrappy Mountains Majesty. I used an alternate setting for the blocks to make it look like that. You can find the free pattern for this quilt on her blog under the free patterns tab.

Thanks so much. Quilt #2 is one of Bonnie Hunter's patterns called Scrappy Mountains Majesty (under the free patterns tab on her blog). The quilt is really easy. It starts out with 8-1/2" HST's that you cut into strips, sew back together in reverse order, and then rearrange the finished units into a number of different settings depending on how you want it to look. Very quick and easy to make.

Thank you, Geri. The HST's are 6-1/2 unfinished.

oksewglad 12-04-2014 08:12 AM

I didn't mention it on the UFO thread, but the late fall backdrop shows off these quilts beautifully! Great job on piecing as well as picturing.
