two Navajo quilts
 

I just finished the second Navajo quilt. Thank goodness. I am tired of working on these, but I think they turned out quite pretty.

Thanks for the nice compliments. :) I am currently selecting fabric for my next quit, which must be purple. Purple is my staple choice...and I want something simple, so that will be fun too.

Your two quilts are a great achievement and lovely additions to the decor of your room. They look nice with the photo of our beautiful blue planet, and the native pottery on the shelves. Couldn't be better.:cool:

Beautiful duo, but I understand about a chore to finish the second. Did that with twin beds too, in a different pattern. Your room looks lovely and the quilts really make a statement and pull together everything else in the room. Great finish.

Thank you so much. I did use the colors in the painting, which my best friend painted for me years ago, and the colors in the native pottery to create the quilts. You make me feel good by picking up on that. :)

I really like these. Where can I get this pattern? I need them for twin beds like you have them, I really like them to hang low to floor. You did a wonderful job on these. Really like the colors as well.

I usually mention the pattern when I post! I just forgot this time. The pattern is called Navajo from a book called Tradition with a Twist by Blance Young and Dalene Young Stone. I made the pattern smaller to make it fit on a twin. I think it is a queen size pattern, but I can't really remember. (My cat is sleeping on the pattern book and I don't want to disturb him....sorry. :) ) I bought the book from Amazon.
