What sizes are the quilts. Where was your exhibition? Do you still live in Havana? Are the appliqués satin stitched onto the background block?

Hi, and thanks for your compliments. Both quilts are more or less of 1x1 meter, and my exhibition was in Old Havana the last june, in a place dedicated to textil arts: La Casa de la Obrapia. And exactly the applique satin stiched was directly onto the background (and sorry for my english) And I still living in Havana, near to Malecon and La rampa street

So these elements were cut out from other printed fabric, then satin stitched into the new design you created? Very artistic..
wasnt this a favorite thing in the Victorian (?) age.. Borderie purse...or something like that...except I believe those flower clusters or whatever were needle turn applique?
