Try the free BOM on Craftsy. They teach it there in March lessons (I think)

Beautiful quilts. I especially like the one with the black background fabric emphasis. I may try this one some day. :-)

Both are gorgeous. The first one has a 3D effect and looks different when it's small than when the pic is enlarged.

Krystyna 05-29-2012 02:49 AM

They are fantastic. I am partial to the first since it sort of looks like a crazy quilt in between the webs. Great work.

I have that book too and made a spider web quilt. I love yours, it's funny how different scraps change the look so much. Your colors carry a lot of interest. That book has more quilts I want to make. I think I'll go browse through it. Thanks

quilter68 05-29-2012 08:18 AM

Both quilts are nice but I love, love, love the first one. It is more defined than a crazy quilt but the colors are fabulous!

QUILTNMO 05-29-2012 08:33 AM

they are both nice and so colorful good job!!!!

dsews2 05-29-2012 08:51 AM

I love them both but the one for your son isn't quite as busy......the color combo's in them both are so pretty

debcavan 05-29-2012 08:54 AM

Beautiful, the both of them. I would be hard pressed to have to pick a favorite.

KathyPhillips 05-29-2012 01:31 PM

I agree! I love the one with black. Have only seen one with white, and your black one is much more beautiful! Nice contrast with the scrappy colors.

You're right... the black really makes those scraps snap to attention! I love scrappies & these are fabulous! Your kids sure are lucky to have such a talented & generous mom!

Oh !! the first quilt makes my heart sing ! could you share the name of the pattern or how you pieced it ? Did you
make all the "spiders" and then set triangles to join them? I just want to make one--now !
It's the happiest quilt I have seen in a long time.

the replies before I open my mouth.

alfosa421 05-29-2012 04:36 PM

I like them both but especially love the first one where all the background is color too! Well done

smitty 05-29-2012 05:02 PM

I went to the Material Obsessions website but can not determine which book you used. I see they are also available
on Amazon. thanks for you time.

nstitches4u 05-29-2012 05:41 PM

They are both very pretty. I love the bright colors.

Taughtby Grandma 05-29-2012 05:43 PM

They are both pretty, but I like the darker one better, it really sets off the spider webs.

Pennyquilter88 05-29-2012 05:43 PM

They are both fabulous! Great job!
