UFO's / For Baby / Memories
 

Hi Everyone!

I have been, at the request of DH, working on finishing up some UFO's. Here are two that I have finished in the past 2 weeks. Both for my sons (For #1 - The Lizards been a UFO for a couple of years now, for #3 - Minecraft - he didn't have to wait but a year for his.)

The 2 baby quilts were also finished in the past couple of weeks. The elephant one was made from left over Ooops Blocks when I made a large elephant quilt for a couple of newlyweds (I worked with the bride). They had their first child in February so I decided to make a somewhat matching quilt for miss Rose using those ooops blocks. The I-Spy quilt for Bentley is for his 1st birthday (which is today). I will give it to mom this weekend along with a deck of cards I made using the blocks in the quilt so he will have a matching game he can play as he grows.

Last but not least are pillows I made with the leftover remnants from a T-Shirt memory quilt I finished last month. Dad got the memory quilt, these pillows went to the four daughters.

I have been busy and still a lot to do on my UFO list so ... back to work. Thanks for stopping by and having a look.

Well done. Yipee!! That's awesome you have these all done. They are all so different. I bet feels great to have these done. :thumbup: The elephant quilt is my favorite. I'm not a big fan of Minecraft. But, it came out excellent!!

Thank you all for the kind words. I like getting feedback. I'd do this all day everyday if it weren't for work. I have two in repair and one that is going on the frame tomorrow so I will have more to share soon.

All great, but that one with BENTLEY blows my mind. It must have taken careful planning to get the blocks to fall in place all right side up.

OMG!!! Such cute quilts. I love, love, love the elephant one and the Bently quilt so much. Also the eye spy one is very unique....such a cute idea to make pieces to match the baby quilt so it can "grow" as the baby grows. Such wonderful projects. So glad you finished them. Can't wait to see more UFO's!

Good for you for finishing up some UFO's. Sometimes we just need a push to get things done. They look wonderful.

I do believe that "done is better than perfect," however, I get bogged down sometimes with too many choices and someone like me, who probably has ADHD, I sometimes tend to lose interest.

I love #1. What is the name of the pattern? You have been very productive! Good for you and all the recipients!!!

The pattern is "Thinking outside of the box". It has felt good to knock some of the ones sitting around off the list.

I had to laugh when I read your post because that is EXACTLY how I am. I can get all excited about starting a new project and in the middle of it I get this new and awesomely fantastical idea for my next quilt to the point that I get the top I am working on finished so I can get the new and awesomely fantastical idea started in one way or another. So it becomes never ending.
