Ugliest Quilt Ever
 

When I first started quilting I bought a line of fabric and used it to make this quilt. It is so ugly but I learned so much from it :)

Nothing is ugly in quilting and this is no exception. In the right setting, this quilt would look even fab.

I don't remember you showing me this quilt. I will say the colors are not my favorite but that doesn't make it ugly! Maybe just not a favorite!

Quilts speak differently to each of us.

Although I don't find it ugly, I understand what your saying. It is very dark, without much contrast. No visual interest. The pattern is nice. The fabric, I imagine, was very beautiful. I am glad you where able to learn lessons from making this as this is how we grow as a quilter. I have more than one that I feel this same way about...I, however, did not complete them...maybe I should....they would be great charity quilts to someone who would appreciate their warmth.

Actually, I like the soft muted look you've achieved.

I'm sorry. I don't find anything ugly about it. Better luck next time. If you don't want it, I know a good home you can send it to.

I don't think so. My husband never says anything about my quilts but for one that I made. He said that it had too be the worse looking quilt he has ever seen.

The ugliest one I've made was my 2nd one. In fact, it's so ugly I didn't take a picture of it and its now in the trunk of my old beater car in case it breaks down and my husband needs to lay on something to not get his clothes dirty! Lol! (I really need to make a pretty one to keep in the trunk of my new car.)

I don't think it's even a little ugly. Nice calm colors. If you aren't happy with it, why not applique a large flower or some other design that you like onto it, it would make a fabulous background for applique.

I got you beat for ugly quilt. If you keep trying you'll make a worse quilt, don't give up. :D:shock:
