It's a beautiful plant! My ex grew one (just to see if 20 year old seeds would grow, I swear, and yes, many of them sprouted!) in the early 90's long before we divorced....it magically disappeared the day one of the kids came home talking about their drug awareness learning that day!

Now...how would you know what pot leaves look like?

There is also an outside plant called cleome that has leaves that look like that. They were growing everywhere in our yard when we bought our house. They look just like pot (I've seen pictures!) until they bloom and then they get a really lovely pink or white flower on the top. When they first came up we thought someone had thrown their seeds in the flower beds.

I have been told that my Aralia looks an awful lot like pot. However, I think the Aralia leaves are darker.

I don't think it's pot. I think I read somewhere on an information packet that pot has either 5 or 7 leaves. That one has 8. Of course the way they are going they have have developed a new strain that has 8 leaves. But, if I was just a passerby, that is what I would think it is. anyway, I think it's pretty. Would look great in a jungle quilt.

Pot leaves have 7 leaves. I count eight on those and I think they are bamboo leaves. You might do a search on the internet of bamboo and compare.
