This is the quilt that the longarm quilter left so many un anchored starts and stops. Luckily I think that if I undo some of the stitches at each problem spot (>60) the quilting will still look ok to the untrained eye😏

That’s a beautiful quilt and it makes me sad that it wasn’t done properly! I have fixed extra long FMQ spots on my own quilting by hand stitching to mimic the machine quilting. Do you have any matching thread like the quilting? If so, take out a few stitches in the many....many ...boo boo spots, hand tie the ends and bury the thread ends in the sandwich. Hand stitch in a few stitches to complete the design, tie off and bury the ends. Quite a job but what else can you do?

You did a fantastic job in piecing a beautiful quilt. What a shame the long arm quilter didn't do a perfect job to finish your quilt. Was this the first time you used this quilter? Was she willing to make an adjustment on her charges due to the inferior work she did? Perhaps if you shared the name of the long-arm quilter then others could avoid using the same and not go through all of the extra work you face.

So sad she was so flip about it. If you just cut short threads they will come out.

I absolutely love your quilt! It is to bad t hat the quilter did and inferior job on the quilting. Lesson learned the hard way. Be sure that your peers know who she is so they don't use here for future work. Beautiful quilt. I can't take my eyes off it.

Beautiful quilt and so sorry you don't have it finished with the quilting. Have you used this long arm quilter before? Hope it works out when you get the binding on.

Your quilt is gorgeous and has such beautiful piecing. I would be very disappointed to discover those quilting issues after all the work you put into it. The quilter should have made it right for you and learned from the mistakes. I hope you can fix it to your satisfaction.

PS: I've experienced that heart sink moment also discovering bad quilting results. The only recourse for me was to take the backing off, replace it, and then re-quilt.Best wishes!

Beautiful quilt! I hope you find a way to fix it, regardless the recipient is going to love it, so happy and cheerful!
