Unusual Baby Quilt
1 Attachment(s)
I made this quilt for a friend of mine who is a veterinarian. She doesn't know what sex her baby is and doesn't want to know. So color choices were difficult. I decided to do something different. The embroidery designs are BABY FARM ANIMALS by Anita Goodesign. I'm basically a beginner at this so it's not professional by any stretch. It was fun though !

Cute!! I kind of miss the challenge of making quilts when you don't know the sex of the baby. Your's is great.
|
I think it's too cute! Bright colors for baby and a chance to learn the names of the animals. There's enough going on to keep baby interested, but not so much they're over-stimulated. I think you did a great job!
|
Beautifully done and a quilt to be loved!

That's so sweet. I love the colors and the fact that she doesn't want to know what sex her baby will be.

Thanks all ! BTW, the border was machine embroidered.

great quilt for a vet's baby, you did a super job on it
|
That really turned out cute. Love it, and am sure the baby will love it, too.
|
That's a neat baby quilt. How big are your animal embroideries? I have an embroidery machine but can only go up to a 4" hoop. I know most of the Anita embroideries are way bigger than that.
|
I think everyone's going to love it!
|
I do love the quilt , I think it's a really nice use of the embroidered blocks!
Sometimes I try to read quickly through posts on my lunch break and when I first looked at you post I thought you said you made it for someone who was a vegetarian! I was trying to figure out what farm animals had to do with not eating meat! :o |
she'd surely going to love that. Let us know if you get a chance to post after the baby arrives.
Congrats to you for the quilt and her for the new baby. YEA YEA YEA |
