Using my ruler
 

I have an older Juki on a frame and I bought a ruler foot for it about a year ago. I decided I should practice using the ruler. It's a straight edge rule. Not all, but so far most of my triangles have straight lines. :)

On my longarm I always use a plexi ruler for diagonals....horizontal and vertical are easy, but those diagonals get wonky otherwise !

The pattern is free from Moda called Honeysweet Pinwheel. The pattern calls for using charm squares, but I used my scraps & cut my own 5" squares.
