I do love this quilt. Another quilt that I can see me making down the line with the multitude of scraps I have here.Nice work.

Valentine Candy Block

Hi - I made some of the Valentine Candy blocks and would like to have instructions on how to put them together for the top that is pictured. Can anyone help me?

I always cut up my leftover fabrics into 2.5" (candy) squares, and I like to think up ways to use them.

It has been fun participating in some "candy" swaps to get thousands of different fabrics. The current swap is in this thread: https://www.quiltingboard.com/member...p-t285320.html. I didn't join this year, but hope to next year if they have it.

SheriR taught us how to make little dresden blocks from "candy" squares in last year's swap. I used them in the top and bottom of this quilt to make it longer. Thank you SheriR! Edit by moderator: SheriR's tut is here: https://www.quiltingboard.com/tutori...g-t300467.html

Since the main blocks are heart shapes, I thought it was appropriate to name the quilt "Valentine Candy."

Here is a tutorial on setting quilts on point:

Below is how I laid the blocks out. I used 1.5" finished sashing between the blocks.
