A lovely finish! :)

Doesn't look like you have lost anything by removing the corners. You did a super job. I love it. BrendaK

That is a beautiful old quilt. I too like what you did with the corners. It makes it unique. I too love the label. The more information given, the better.

Love the quilt and the quilting. I have never seen the ribbon meander before but think it is perfect for this quilt.

a very nice restoration!

It turned out so very, very well!! We have an old Dresden Plate quilt top found in my cousin's cedar chest when she passed. Some of the fabrics match the ones in Mom's double wedding ring quilt that G'ma made for her, so we speculate that G'ma made this too, but didn't get done before she was too seriously ill to finish. I like the double ribbon meander quilting on this - makes me inspired to finish the one we have for my daughter.

Great finish even with the corners cut off. You can be very proud of your work and I too really like the label with the picture.

Wow, you did a beautiful job! As I have heard many ladies on the Board say, "no quilt police" - ha ha! What a great opportunity to restore a quilt too! It makes it more fun since it was found in the house - and I too love the label with the house included. Reminds me to restore a quilt I bought at an flea market. It's sad that no labels or history are found on some of the old quilts like the one you found in the house and the one I bought - but nice that caring quilters restore them.

Great quilt and great save. Take care of yourself and be safe.
