How beautiful! I so enjoy seeing both hand quilting and machine quilting in the same piece. Old techniques with the new works so well together. What a lovely art piece.

Now just how cool is that! What a great quilt. Did your client say where her mom found this pattern? Lovely emb. work.

Great job by all! I have the same quilt--done with multi colored thead (the pattern book shows both color pathways) and just need to put it together and then quilt. What weight thread did you use with all that embroidery? what thread did you use? You did a great job cause I know that there is a lot of embroidery and it's close together!

I believe she just used a standard DMC in black. |
Definitely a one-of-a-kind quilt made more beautiful with the quilting added. I'm sure they were very pleased.

I have always loved Crabapple Tree patterns and especially this one, as we live near the old route 66. What gorgeous work by both of you. Your attention to detail in the quilting, really enhanced her beautiful embroidery. WOW. I would have had a hard time parting with this after quilting it!
|
Very creative! And beautifully done.
|
What a perfect job you've done to highlight the embroidery. You are VERY skilled. Great job!

This is stunning! Hope it gets to be seen at shows
